A few observations…

Yesterday I went to the PLC pick up my new monthly refill of Revatio (Viagra) and the pharmacist asked me how it was going with the new meds. I had to think about it for a minute, but aside from the usual headaches and upset stomach as side effects, I’m tentative to say that I think it might be helping things. Might, being the operative word, as usual.

It’s not a huge amount, but I’ve noticed the last week or so that I’ve been able to walk around the grocery store without the use of my flutterbie stick. For me, this is huge. It’s not like I’m making a long trip around the grocery store, but to be able to walk from the car in handicap parking, into the store and up and down a couple of aisles and back to the car without feeling like I’m going to keel over is really a great thing.

I’m a little hesitant to say that I could do it on a regular basis because I’ve been having difficulties climbing stairs again, which makes things rather confusing. I can walk on a horizontal plane with a little more confidence, but vertical travels I can’t? Weird.

So yea. Hawt Doc did say it would take until the spring before we saw any definite results, so I can wait until then to make any final verdicts, but this is somewhat encouraging, to say the least. Not to mention that having Tamagotchi to cruise around as I please, if I’m feeling cabin feverish, is probably going to be a good thing.

I’m kind of looking forward to the opportunity of maybe getting around on my own and not have to worry about whether The Hubbs’ll want to take a vehicle to the train station in the morning to cut down on his commute time. As it is, he’s been getting up super early in the morning to take the bus so we don’t spend so much on gas for SAM. With Tamagotchi only costing $13 a tank, the gas-filling expenditures aren’t going to be excessively wallet-breaking.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas & New Year’s, cross your fingers that 2010 is a better year all around.
