The Hubbs picked all of our roma tomatoes for the year and I am once again making Piccalilli — green tomato relish.
The first time I made it, we had early girls or yellow boy tomatoes, I can’t recall which. This year, we grew romas. Just the green-ness of the tomatoes, once chopped up into bits, amazes me. This stuff is like neon green compared to the first year I made the relish!
I should really take a picture, but I don’t think the results would adequately represent what colour I’m seeing.
